Kinders do an Invention Exploration

To celebrate Inventors Week, Mrs. Goodman's class came to the library for an Invention Exploration. We read The Most Magnificent Thing and Iggy Peck, Architect. We talked about how sometimes inventions don't turn out the way the inventor intended. We also discussed that sometimes we need to walk away from our work and then come back and try again. After the story we made buildings/sculptures/creations using toothpicks, gumdrops, and marshmallows. After we finished these creations we moved on to Tinker Toys and learned how to build with them.
