Young Authors Day 2016
Our students have been working on books for some time. Today they became published authors. Their books are written and bound and have been shared with people. We have some awesome authors at our school!
We did a Skype visit for grades 2-5 with author Chris Fabry. Chris lives in Tuscon and has been writing for both children and adults for many years.
The students did a great job and asked some very good questions.
With the kinder and first grade classes, we watched some You Tube videos of Eric Carle (The Very Hungry Caterpillar), Mo Willems (Don't Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus), Antoinette Portis (Not a Box), and Steven Jenkins (What do you do with a Tail like this?).
Students also visited other classrooms to share their books with other students.
