We had a great day Friday, May 12 at our 10th annual Young Authors Day.

Every elementary student from the K2 class to fifth grade wrote a book for this event.

K2 students had a celebration reception with some of their parents.

Kinder through fifth grade divided up into multi-grade level groups to share their books. They were joined for the first group session by Dr. O'Hara's senior English students who had also written a book. Throughout the day students participated in 3 group sessions. The first session was led by our seniors, the other two sessions were lead by Miss Mouttet's fifth graders. In between sessions, students had playground time while waiting for classmates to finish is their groups.

The day ended with a visit from one of our

parents Mr. Chris Kohn who served as a

missionary in Africa and wrote a children's book to help fund some of the projects in Africa.

If you'd like to see more pictures from the day, you can see them here.
